Groovy Hearts Sucker Covers
Dress up a dull sucker for someone special by
adding an adorable sucker cover! Sucker covers
are quick and easy, and can be customized to fit
any size or shape of sucker.
To create a cover, first determine the size you
would like the finished cover to be. Multiply
the height of the cover by two, and cut the correct
size of cardstock. Fold the cardstock in half,
and decorate the front of the sucker cover as
desired. Punch holes or insert eyelets in each
corner of the cover, then thread with ribbon,
string, or metallic cording and tie closed. You
now have a personalized treat for your Valentine!

- Hesitant to cut your
own sucker covers? Use our exclusive Enclosure
Cards, item X126. They'll fit most small suckers,
but can easily be trimmed if necessary.
- Add edging, brads, eyelets, and glitter to
your sucker covers for an extra special touch.
- Once you've mastered
the basic sucker cover, add excitement by creating
different shapes. Use a Corner Rounder to soften
sharp corners, or trim the cover into the shape
of a heart (make sure part of the fold remains
at the top so your sucker cover will stay together).
- Experiment with
different ties-a bow across the bottom, ribbon
knots on the sides, or a brad inserted from
front to back-there are lots of ways to keep
your sucker covers together!
- Group several suckers,
some with covers and some without, and tie to
form a sucker bouquet for any occasion.
